The Hideout Lodge & Guest Ranch

This is not your typical Guest Ranch and a very unique place. The accomodations and level of personal attention are boutique-like. With a culinary schooled chef the food is Western gourmet style. When it comes to riding this is not a nose to tail ranch. There are miles and miles of trails to ride on private, National Forest and BLM land in a variety of scenery. This is not a nose to tail ranch. Experienced riders will find the horses of exceptional quality and beginning riders will find the staff very patient and accomodating.Guests have the opportunity to participate in an authentic working cattle and cowboy experience with cattle work, riding, etc. Many of The Hideout's organized and experienced staff are year-round, which makes them very personable and experienced with the area.  Safety sets The Hideout apart and great attention is being paid to the hiring process, quality of horses, maintenance of equipment, communication, safety training, etc. During the cattle drives & round ups, guests are guaranteed plenty of time on horseback as they move over 1,000 head of cattle across the ranch's quarter of a million acres of range. Other activities include trapshooting, natural horsemanship and stockmanship clinics, massage, hot tub, fishing, hiking, canoeing, equine massage initiation, culinary classes, art events, photography clinics, guided visits to Yellowstone National Park, Cody, The Buffalo Bill Museum, Cody Nite Rodeo and much more.Guests of The Hideout with an interest in paleontology, archeology or geology have the unique opportunity to participate in a walking, guided tour of the nearby Red Gulch Dinosaur Track site with a local expert. During the summer months, it is not unusual to meet with international scientists exploring and working on the many geological sites for which Wyoming is world renowned. The Hideout has no dedicated kids program because we believe that family vacations you be a learning experience with children and parents sharing a fun time together. During the summer season families with older kids will find The Hideout not only a fun and exceptional vacation but the entire family will take home many learnings. From September to Mai the Hideout is mostly adult oriented.Wonderful food, fine horses, great adventures, and genuine western hospitality all await you at The Hideout.
